In an effort to up the realism of FIFA 16, EA Sports has also introduced the story of the season. “FIFA 16 will fully immerse you in the story of your club’s season. Our commentators will remark on key storylines, including notable player or team performances, big player debuts, and transfer rumors,” the developer explains. “In-game graphics and commentary will also pick up on interesting team stats for matches, and reference the wider context of league standings.” The announcement that women are "in the game", a play on the famous EA Sports tag line "it's in the game", has prompted a torrent of misogynistic jokes on social media - showing this is just one very small step towards equality for the sexes in sport.

 

In FIFA 16, A key development is being added to Career Mode and pre season, pre-season. Your club will now be invited to three out of a possible nine tournaments, played in Asia, Europe, Latin America, or North America. These matches will be your opportunity to work on your team tactics and line-ups before the start of the regular season - use all your subs to test squad players. The prize purse from these tournaments gets allocated to your transfer budget for the upcoming season.

 

It would also make embarking on a Career Mode much more immersive and addictive. How great would it be to be able to track how many goals or assists a player has got for your club over his career and how that compares to your other strikers. In general FIFA would benefit from incorporating some of the more prestigious awards into Career Mode so that you could have a target to aim for with your best players. This would also be a welcome addition to the Player Career, as being recognized as the best player in the world would fantastic to build towards.
