FIFA 15 Ultimate Team is a massively popular app on the Android and iOS platforms
This year’s changes and how they affect your game. Whether you’re playing FIFA 15 Ultimate Team or any of the other modes in this year’s update, there’s a bunch you need to know about how play itself has changed. Acceleration has become more important this year, and FIFA 15′s aerial game has been significantly balanced after FIFA 14′s laser-guided headers created so much controversy last year. Don’t get left behind. Hit the link below and be sure you have the right strategies in place.
On balance, this year's FIFA makes a satisfying march forward on technical grounds, for both PS4 and Xbox One alike. From the new bokeh depth-of-field effect, to the new player animations and revamped lighting model, both versions offer practically like-for-like returns on EA's investment into its Ignite engine. A slew of other subtle extras make it one of the series' more progressive entries overall, and crucially, both perfectly hold at the 60fps mark where it counts. But with all the additions being made, there are already signs that the thin end of the wedge is dividing the PS4 and Xbox One versions. The omission of motion blur from the Microsoft release, for example, plus a few occasional frame-rate dips during cut-scenes, suggests the weight of these engine advances is starting to take its toll. It's rare to see a break in parity between the modern entries in this series, but FIFA 15 marks the first time a more obvious distinction can be made.
I think it's the new goalkeeper behaviours that have made the most difference to the way goals are scored, however. Goalkeepers benefit from countless new animations. Even though I can't help feeling they're a little overpowered at times, goalies make a much wider range of reaction saves, instead of always catching the ball or pushing it out for corners. Not only is it more realistic, but with balls more likely to be found bobbling in and around the box and back off the post, there actually tends to be more excitement thanks to an increase in goal mouth action. Unfortunately, for all of the improvements to the presentation, there are areas in which FIFA 15 can improve. Contextually, the co-commentary team make countless mistakes, praising the cameraman for capturing a close-up of a shot, when in reality the ball was booted out by the corner flag.
A patch for FIFA 15 has been released and according to the notes, the update makes adjustments and improvements to shooting and goalkeepers. Out now on PS4 and PC and coming soon to Xbox One, the title update also includes the ability to call out the keeper in Pro Clubs; legendary difficulty in gameplay adjustments and improvement to to Goal Line Technology. Other updates include a fix for match length issues in FIFA Ultimate Team Single Player Seasons matches; and update to real-world injuries and suspensions in Match Day Live; improvements to ‘Looking Ahead’ audio in Career; fixes to player selection in Team Management during multiplayer matches; and player specific audio speech in all modes has been tuned.
FIFA 15 Ultimate Team is a massively popular app on the Android and iOS platforms and a big part of the EA Sports portfolio. However, we’ve been documenting problems with the app for several months now, and every time an update appears we are hoping for fixes. It’s clear to us that FIFA 15 UT user frustration over these issues is growing, and it’s pretty shocking that a company the size of EA Sports hasn’t managed to smooth out all the glitches with the game so far.
